Projects

For about a half-dozen years, we have been working with teachers in K-12 schools to create materials and prototype "next generation" learning environments, mainly in mathematics and science. Our recent projects include:

  • The main current project is investigating models of Web/Component software development and use for classroom contexts. For details, check the Web/Comp Project home page.
  • We conducted a collaborative project on motion at the middle school level with the Wisconsin NCISLA/Mathematics & Science Center. Sample materials are available at Modeling and Motion.
  • We have just finished researching students' abilities to design, critique, and operate novel representations. For more information, please see Project MaRC.

Also, see the Boxer Bibliography for papers about our 6th grade and high school courses on motion.
