ReportsThe links below connect to series of relatively in-depth studies of component-computing projects, all of which espouse the development of component architectures as a key innovative strategy in educational computing. While there is a common advocacy rhetoric behind these projects, there is also a remarkable diversity in technology, in social structure of development, and in the form of products generated by these projects. In surveying these projects, we hope to provide both a view of the state of the art and also a critical frame, focused on central issues future developers and consumers of component computing products should deal with.
